Kieth (and all) Let me know when you would like to get together. I can meet most any evening after 6:30. Most weekends okay too.
I liked the idea of offering decals to local businesses in support of ALERT. Thought we might also offer smaller decals to residents to stick on their front door.
I also believe we should have some written information to pass out to people being contacted. Some of this I think we already have. We could use: A general information sheet discribing what we do and why. An application to encourage new members.
I think the non-profit designation is important to have before we start the solicitation process.
We could possibly offer different levels of sponsorship: Decals for posting on business or home. Links to business posted on the website showing who is supporting ALERT. Ability for businesses to offer product rather than money for items we may need, e.g. flashlights, gloves, GPS, radios, saws, ropes, food, drinks, etc., in exchange for sponsorship.
Related item: We have winter coats, vests with logos. I suggest we have a standard color pullover sport shirt with the ALERT logo as well. These could be worn for warm weather functions, Old Home Day, parades, even soliciting for funds.
Any other ideas are welcome.
